For thirty five years I have been an educator in the Central Bucks area.For 20years as owner of Crossroads Country Day School and now 5 years as the owner of Children’s Learning Corner.
Children learn what they live! School should be a place where students are nurtured and build skills to meet their fullest potential academically, socially, and physically.
Children’s Learning Corner, small by design, provides students with a structured group plan as well as individual goals that are discussed with parents. Children’s Learning Corner is the entire lower level of our home, separate entirely from living space, but we are able to provide the security of a homey atmosphere.
Preschool/Pre-K are often a child’s first academic experience. The most important job of a teacher is not only to teach needed skills but to instill confidence and strength for a lifetime!
While I started out in the nursing (and am an LPN), I have always been a teacher. As a teenager, I taught Sunday School and neighborhood children.
My undergraduate degree in education and music and graduate degrees in early childhood and administration allowed me to teach in Philadelphia schools and then start my own Learning Center / Private school. It was a great experience to teach so many children, and even their children. Now is my time to work with a smaller group, use my experience and enjoy learning again with my students!
It has been a pleasure to direct this smaller school with lots of learning centers, exploration areas, and supplies to make it a leader in early childhood education!
